MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 10th slate of 2023-24 SSAC Games of the Week, presented by Herff Jones, with Thursday night's men's basketball game in Pharr Gymnasium earning recognition this week.
The University of Mobile Men's Basketball team is set to open conference play on Thursday with a matchup against Thomas University (Ga.) at 7:30 p.m. CT. The meeting is just the fourth time in history to two teams have faced, and first in conference action as Thomas joined the SSAC during the last off-season. The Rams opened the season ranked No. 1 in the SSAC Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll, while Thomas was ranked No. 7.

- Mobile is ranked 16th in the NAIA with a 4-1 record, while Thomas is 2-3 overall and 1-0 in SSAC action.
- For Mobile, DaMariee Jones averages 16.4 points and 8.6 rebounds, while Ezra McKenna averages a double-double at 15.2 points and 11.2 rebounds per game.
- For Thomas, Jarvis Brown averages 20.5 points per game, while Jailin Lee averages 15.4 points and 2.6 assists per contest.
- Mobile leads the all-time series record over the Night Hawks with a 2-1 overall record.
