Braylee McMath Named NAIA Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week

McMath Earns First-Career National Player of the Week Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Braylee McMath of the University of Mobile Women's Basketball program has been named the NAIA Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, the national office announced on Tuesday, Jan. 14. The selection was based on her performances across two games during the week Jan. 6-12. McMath was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

NAIA Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week 

#3 Braylee McMath, Mobile (Ala.) – SR – Point Guard

  • This is McMath's first NAIA Player of the Week honor.
  • Averaged 35.0 points in a pair of conference wins on the road. 
  • Set a new program record for points scored in a game with 47 points vs Brewton-Parker (Ga.).
  • Made 14 shots from the floor and managed a 13-of-16 free-throw performance against the Barons. 
  • Finished 10-of-23 from beyond the arc during the week for a 43.5 three-point percentage.
  • Added 23 points in a victory over Abraham-Baldwin (Ga.) to begin the week.
  • Aided Mobile to wins over ABAC and Brewton-Parker to extend current win streak to nine games. 


NAIA Players of the Week are announced on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.
