MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The University of Mobile Baseball team faced off against Faulkner University over the weekend with the Rams suffering a series loss to the Eagles. During the Friday doubleheader, Mobile would start off hot to take game one with a score of 12-7. Faulkner would control the rest of the series with a run rule loss in game two for the Rams while the lone game on Saturday was a close 5-6 loss with Mobile opting not to use many of their regular starters. With the final series of the regular season now completed, the Rams finish out the 2025 regular season with an overall record of 27-22 while holding a conference record of 14-16.
Game One - Mobile 12, Faulkner 7
Mobile came out swinging from the start of game one with the team immediately pushing across 4 runs in the first inning with Sam Bowman smashing a 3 run homer to left field. The Rams would carry that momentum through the first four innings to score all 12 of their runs in that time. Zion Taylor contributed in the win with two separate 2 RBI doubles while Bryce Eddington hit a solo home run to right field in the fourth inning to conclude the scoring for Mobile. Breyton Cornelius got credited with the win for the Rams having pitched two innings and giving up just 1 run to the Eagles.
Game Two - Mobile 3, Faulkner 13 - 7 innings
Game two saw Mobile's bats stay hot, but the runs would not come across for them as they fell 3-13 in a seven inning run rule loss. Zion Taylor had another good outing as he hit a sacrifice fly to center field to bring home Peyton Bell. Taylor would score later on off a wild pitch. The Rams managed 12 hits in the contest compared to the Eagles' 9 hits. Landon Moore was credited with the loss having pitched two innings and giving up 7 runs, of which 5 were earned.
Game Three - Mobile 5, Faulkner 6
After the doubleheader split on Friday, the Rams would see their lineup change drastically with most of their regular starters not seeing game time in the rubber match. Despite the change, Mobile still put up a fight, outhitting Faulkner once again, but ultimately falling 5-6 after a walk off home run for the opposition. Trey Simpkins grounded out in the first inning to bring home Kline Smith before hitting a double to right center in the third to score Landon Moore. In the ninth inning, Mobile pushed across 3 runs to take a 5-4 lead with Breyton Cornelius starting the inning with a home run to left field. Ultimately, the Rams were unable to hold on for the win and Faulkner would take the series win over Mobile.

For Mobile, they finish the regular season with an overall record of 27-22 with a conference record of 14-16. They look forward to the postseason as they wait on official word regarding the SSAC Championship Tournament seeding.
