MARIETTA, Ga. – The University of Mobile volleyball team fell in straight sets to Life University (22-25, 22-25, 24-26) on Saturday afternoon in Marietta, Georgia. The loss moves Mobile to 8-1 overall and 1-1 in SSAC play.
Mobile hit .169 as a team on 41 kills, six service aces, and 10 blocks across the three-set match. Despite the sweep, the Rams battled closely throughout, pushing Life to extra points in the third set before ultimately falling 26-24.
Emily Osborne led the Rams' offense with 11 kills on an impressive .476 hitting percentage while also adding four blocks. Peyton Frazer chipped in 10 kills and three blocks, and Sophie Dorris added eight kills with no errors for a .471 hitting percentage. Jennifer Cope anchored the defense at the net with six total blocks.
Defensively, libero Jaci Drinnon posted a match-high 26 digs, while Georgia Simmons added eight digs from the back row. Setter Emma McPherson dished out 17 assists while also tallying a service ace, and Hannah Ellis added eight assists and two digs.
Life University narrowly outhit Mobile .185 to .169, while the Rams out-blocked the Running Eagles 10-5.

The Rams return to action on Friday, Sept. 9, traveling to New Orleans to face SUNO.
