MARIETTA, Ga. - The 2026 Women's Soccer season came to a close over the weekend for Mobile with a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Life University. The SSAC Women's Soccer Championship First Round game saw Mobile travel to Marietta, Georgia to face the Running Eagles in a battle of the #2 and #7 seeds. The first half of the competition saw the Rams remain level with their opponents, as the score remained tied at 0-0, but a second half onslaught by the hosts allowed them to pull away.
The Rams finished the 2026 regular season with an overall record of 11-5-1 while finishing 7-5-1 in conference play. That record would be enough to earn them the #7 seed in the SSAC Women's Soccer Championship tournament where they would face the #2 seed Life University. During the regular season, the two sides faced each other in Marietta, with the Running Eagles defeating the Rams 3-0.
Now in postseason play, the two sides would face off once again, with the Rams coming off the back of 5 straight wins to end the regular season. Despite their best efforts, things would once again play out to a 3-0 loss in Marietta, as Life University would advance to the final site of the tournament in Montgomery while the Rams headed back home with their season now over. Despite the loss, the Rams showed that they were able to hold their own for a while, with Mobile's defense keeping their opponents scoreless through the first half. Mobile's goalkeeper Kloe Ernst made 2 saves in the first half and would make 4 more in the second to end the day with 6 total. The 3 shots that the Rams would register in the loss would come from Oliva Sanchez Mangue, Eleanor Cowan, and Greta Schneider.
2026 Season Recap

Individually, Kloe Ernst would earn Mobile's lone SSAC Defensive Player of the Week award during Week 3. The Rams also say a sad goodbye to 9 graduating seniors who have all made an impact on the program during their time at the University.
