OVERALL PROGRAM RECORD: 1,383-538-2

2025:

Another 30+ win season for the Lady Rams and head coach Allison Sellers-Cook. They once again made nationals while falling short but nonetheless, another good season. Their final record was 33-20 while having several wins against nationally ranked teams. 

Avery Harrell, Madilyn Sheffield, Miah Simmons all made First Team All-Conference while Gracie Mitchell, Katie Kempton, Lillie Lanham and Lucy Spisto all earned Second Team All-Conference. Lillie Lanham had a PERFECT DEFENSIVE SEASON winning the Golden Glove. The All-Freshman Team consisted of Gracie Mitchell, Katie Kempton, Riley Smith, and Lucy Spisto. This years Champion of Character was Sarah Brannan. The Lady Rams also had 12 All-Academic Honors. 



2024:

Finished the season with 30 wins, while seeing national tourney hopes cut short in upset fashion at the SSAC Softball Championship Tournament. Caitlin McRee, Brinkley Goff, and Emily Butts all earned SSAC First-Team All-Conference selections for the third-straight year, while Lillie Lanham and Avery Harrell earned second-team all-conference nods. Miah Simmons and Bethany Dean were selected to the SSAC Softball All-Freshman Team.

Eight members was named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes and 15 earned SSAC All-Academic honors.  


2023:

Finished the 2023 season with a 40-15 overall record, while tallying a 23-5 conference record. The Rams advanced to the Chickasha Bracket of the 2023 NAIA Softball Opening Round where Mobile eventually saw the season end after falling to the University of Science and Arts (Okla.).

Mobile won the SSAC Softball Regular Season title, but fell in the championship game of the conference tourney in Decatur, Ala. Brinkley Goff was the lone Ram to earn NAIA All-America honors, being named an honorable mention following the 2023 season.


2022:
 

UM Softball program racked up awards following an outstanding 52-4 2022 season, 24-2 in conference play. The Rams finished the season as the runner-up in the NAIA Softball National Championship and broke the program's consecutive win record with 34-straight wins to start the season. The previous record was 28 consecutive victories set by the 1997 team.

Won the SSAC Softball Championship during the 2022 season and Head Coach Alison Sellers-Cook was named SSAC Softball Coach of the Year. Sellers-Cook recorded her 500th career victory during the season. Seven players were named SSAC Softball First-Team All-Conference selections, with five being named to the SSAC Softball Second-Team All-Conference Team.

After falling in the national championship game to Oklahoma City University, Emily Butts, Brinkley Goff, and Jaden Morace were named as NAIA Softball First-Team All-Americans. Morace set the new single-season runs record at Mobile and in the SSAC with 75 runs scored during the year and tied the program record with 84 hits in one season. She was named the SSAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year for her success on and off the field of play.

Caitlin McRee joined Morace, Butts and Goff as a NAIA All-American, claiming honorable mention honors.

Additionally, the Mobile coaching staff was up for the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches' Association) Coaching Staff of the Year honor.



2021:

Began the 2021 ranked no. 7 in the NAIA Softball Top 25 Coaches' poll. Finished with an overall 28-20 record while going 17-7 in SSAC play. Finished third in the SSAC Softball Championship Tournament in Decatur, Ala. after falling to Faulkner University in extra innings.

Brinkley Goff, Madi Robertson, Allison Vincent, and Jaden Morace were all named to the SSAC First-Team All-Conference team. Kaylee Pullin, Eila Infante, Emily Butts, and Brianna Crim were all selected to the SSAC Second-Team All-Conference team. 

Madi Robertson, Emily Butts, and Brinkley Goff were selected to the SSAC All-Freshman team and Brianna Crim (2B), Courtney Ellzey (SS), and Allison Vincent all earned Conference Gold Glove awards for their defensive play over the course of the season.

2020:

The 2020 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 (Coronovirus) pandemic in the United States.

Before the remainder of the 2020 season was cancelled, Lady Rams were ranked No. 8 in the NAIA with a 14-4 overall record. Mobile finished the 2020 season sitting on a 11-game win streak.

2019:

Finished 52-13 overall and 26-6 in SSAC action. Finished the season as the No. 7 ranked team in the NAIA. Defeated Blue Mountain College in the SSAC Championship Title game.

Eliminated by No. 5 Lindsey Wilson College in the NAIA Softball World Series. 

Maddie Burchell, Hope Cain, and Erika Greek were named to the 1st-Team All-Conference team in the SSAC. Erika Greek was named SSAC Pitcher of the Year and was later named to the NAIA 2nd-Team All-American Team. Hope Cain was a NAIA All-American Honorable Mention.

2018:

In the first season as head coach for Alison Sellers-Cook, she led the Lady Rams to a 46-15 overall record and 22-6 SSAC record. Finished the season as the No. 8 ranked team in the NAIA.

Fell in the SSAC Championship game to William Carey University. Was eliminated in the NAIA Softball World Series by Southern Oregon University.

Ashley Sprayberry, Emily Fleetwood, Maddie Burchell, Payton Adams, and Karley Sanders were all named to the SSAC 1st-Team All-Conference team. Karley Sanders was later named as the SSAC Pitcher of the Year and as a NAIA 1st-Team All-American.

2017:

Finished 40-19 overall and 18-8 in SSAC action. Lost in extra innings in the SSAC Championship game. Fell in the Opening Round of the NAIA National Championship Tournament.

Ashley Sprayberry, Victoria Lewis, and Emily Fleetwood were all named to the SSAC 1st-Team All-Conference team. Hope Cain named to the SSAC All-Freshman team.

2016:

Finished 28-21 overall and 8-12 in SSAC play. Taylor Clinkenbeard named First-Team NAIA All-America, Musco Lighting Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year for College Division softball and First-Team All-Conference. Makyala Scott named Second-Team Academic All-America. Jordan Coleman and Tyler Winkler named Second-Team All-Conference and Kaylen Kosbab named All-Freshman. Four named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes and nine named SSAC All-Academic.
 

2015:

Finished 38-14 overall and 19-6 in SSAC play. Won the 2015 SSAC Tournament Championship. Won the St. Gregory’s Bracket of the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. Advanced to the NAIA World Series and went 1-2. Makayla Scott named Honorable Mention NAIA All-American. Taylor Clinkenbeard named SSAC Newcomer of the Year and to the NAIA All-Tournament Team. Three First-Team All-SSAC, one Second-Teamer and one All-Freshman honoree. Emily Vickrey and Ashley Middleton named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.


2014:

Finished 27-23 overall and 17-11 in SSAC play. Jessica Rogers, Alexa Da Rosa and Emily Vickrey named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Anna Blake Barnette named SSAC Divisional Freshman of the Year. Jordan Coleman and Barnette named All-Division. Mackensie Williams and Barnette named SSAC All-Freshman.
 

2013:

Finished 29-22 overall and 12-14 in SSAC play. Brittany Dunson named Honorable Mention NAIA All-American and 2nd-Team Capital One Academic All-America. Dunson and Jordan Coleman named All-Conference. Ashley Middleton named All-Division and All-Freshman. Korie Fontenot, Jessica Palmer, Kamaron Strickland and Dunson named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Fontenot named Capital One Academic All-District.

2012:

Finished 31-19 overall and 11-12 in SSAC play. Advanced to the NAIA National Championship. Brittany Dunson named All-Conference and Alli Hall named All-Division and All-Freshman. Kamaron Strickland, Korie Fontenot and Jessica Palmer named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

2011:

Finished 36-18 overall and 11-9 in SSAC play. Advanced to the NAIA National Championship. Victoria Buie and Mayles Rodriguez named All-Conference. Milagros Lozada and Jessica Rogers named All-Division. Rogers also named All-Freshman.

2010:

Finished 34-19 and 11-5. Eliminated by William Carey in the GCAC Tournament. Leslie Pickette, Kirstyn Joiner and Victoria Buie named All-GCAC.

2009:

Finished 32-12 overall and 6-6 in GCAC action. Finished tied for 15th in the final NAIA Top-25 poll. Jineth Pimentel and Leslie Pickette were named Honorable Mention NAIA All-Americans. Pickette was also the GCAC Pitcher of the Year. Pimentel, Kirstyn Joiner and Ally Scott joined Pickette as 1st-Team All-GCAC members. Heather Bearden, Jineth Pimentel, Taylor Lee Phillips and Abby Campbell were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes.

2008:

Finished the season with a 42-10 record. Lady Rams were runner-up at the 2008 NAIA National Championships. Yaicey Sojo was named 1st team NAIA All-American and GCAC Player of the Year for the second straight season. Anadys Suarez and Jineth Pimentel were named Honorable Mention NAIA All-American. Ginger Reeser was named GCAC Pitcher of the Year. Pimentel, Suarez, Nikki Madden, Cristina Rodriguez and Kelyn Mendoza joined Sojo and Reeser as 1st-Team All-GCAC selections.

2007:

Finished the season with a 36-17 record. The Lady Rams won the GCAC and Region XIII Tournaments to earn a trip to the NAIA National Tournament. Yaicey Sojo was named 1st team NAIA All-American, GCAC Player of the Year and earned NAIA Player of the Week honors. Ginger Reeser, Kelyn Mendoza, Jessica McIntyre, Cristina Rodriguez and Jennifer Gomez were all named to the GCAC All-Conference Team.

2006:

NAIA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS - Finished the season with a 51-2 record and won their first ever National Championship. For the second straight year, Mayret Perez was named GCAC Player of the Year and Linden Jones was named GCAC Pitcher of the Year. Joining them on the All-Conference Team were fellow Lady Rams Angelica Yrigoyen, Maribel Riera, Evelyne Pare, Ann Marie Odum and Corey Race. Perez and Jones were also named NAIA All-Americans, with Yrigoyen joining the second team. The only loses on the season came to Grand View College and rival Spring Hill, but the Lady Rams followed the second loss with 21 consecutive victories, including the title game versus Cal Baptist University. Jones was named NAIA Tournament MVP and Perez, Yrigoyen and Riera garnering All-Tournament Team honors.

2005:

Finished the season with a 51-13 overall record. Won the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament and finished as the runner-up at the Region XIII Tournament. Finished in 4th place at the NAIA National Tournament for the second consecutive year. Mayret Perez was named GCAC Player of the Year and Linden Jones was named GCAC Pitcher of the Year. Kirby Baxter, Sylvia Bedgood, Ann Marie Odum, Evelyne Pare, Meredith Tanner and Angelica Yrigoyen were named to the Gulf Coast Athletic All-Conference Team. Perez, Jones, Pare, Baxter and Tanner were also named to the All-Region XIII Team. Perez and Jones were named to the 2005 NAIA National All-Tournament Team and Perez was named a 2005 NAIA First-Team All-American. Jones, Pare, Tanner and Baxter were chosen as NAIA Second-Team All-Americans. Holly Knowles, Bedgood and Odum were each named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete All-Americans.

2004:

Finished the season with a 49-13 overall record.  Won the Gulf Coast Athletic/Independent Conference Tournament and was Region XIII runner-up to eventual champion Thomas University.  Finished in fourth place at the NAIA National Tournament.  Denisse Fuenmayor named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year.  Kirby Baxter named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year and head coach Becky Clark named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.  Baxter, Fuenmayor, Stephanie Landrum, Brenda Box, Sylvia Bedgood and Meredith Tanner named to All-Region Team.  Fuenmayor, Tanner and Baxter named First-Team All-Americans with Box picking up Second-Team honors and Landrum earning Honorable Mention.  Fuenmayor and Box each named to the NAIA National All-Tournament Team.

2003:

Becky Clark named new head coach.  Finished the season with a 56-7-1 overall record.  Won the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament.  Won the 2003 NAIA Region XIII Tournament.  Finished as Runner-up at the NAIA National Tournament.  Missy Passley, Meredith Tanner and Kirby Baxter all named to the NAIA National All-Tournament Team.  Maria Soto and Passley were named First Team All-American and Passley was named NAIA Pitcher of the Year.  Baxter and Denisse Fuenmayor were named Second Team All-American and Sylvia Bedgood and Brenda Box were named Honorable Mention All-American.  Baxter and Passley were each named NAIA National Pitcher of the Week for the weeks of March 25 and April 1, respectively.  Teal Boothe was named Academic All-American.  Head coach Becky Clark was named Region XIII Coach of the Year.

2002:

Mark Brooks named new head coach.  Finished the season with a 37-11 record.  Won the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament.  Won the NAIA Region XIII Tournament.  Team finished fifth overall at the NAIA National Tournament.  Tied a NAIA National Tournament record by hitting six home runs throughout the tournament.  Missy Passley named to the 2002 National Softball Championship All-Tournament Team.  Tiffany Genola named First Team All-American.  Denisse' Fuenmayor named as Honorable Mention All-American.  Genola (2B), Feunmayor (SS) and Erin Hostrander (OF) named to the 2002 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-East Regional First Team.  Head coach Mark Brooks named NAIA Region XIII Coach of the Year.  Set school records for one season in home runs (40), triples (25) and slugging percentage (.531).

2001:

Finished the season with a 44-18 overall record.  In her last season as head coach, Mary Jennings collected her 500th win and finished fourth at the NAIA National Tournament.  Denisse Fuenmayor and Tiffany Genola named to the All-Region XIII Team.  Stephanie Landrum (22-9) named to the NAIA National All-Tournament Team. Erin Hostrander named Second-Team All-American

2000:

Finished the season with a 40-24 overall record.  Won the NAIA Regional Tournament. Participated in the NAIA National Tournament.

1999:

Finished the season with a 47-13 overall record.  Finished in eighth place at the NAIA National Tournament. Summer Powell and Sunny Russ named as a NAIA First Team All-American. Ronda Richardson named as a Second Team All-American.  Powell named NAIA Academic All-American.  Six Ram players named to the Gulf Coast Athletic All-Conference Team.

1998:

Finished the season with a 57-5 overall record.  Finished in fourth place at the NAIA National Tournament. Nikki Wilson named First Team All-American and NAIA Pitcher of the Year. Tiffany Genola named Second Team All-American. Six Ram players named to the Gulf Coast Athletic All-Conference Team.

1997:

Finished the season with a 48-7 overall record.  Finished in fifth place at the NAIA National Tournament. Terri McCormick and Nikki Wilson each named as a First Team All-American. Sunny Russ, Belinda Stein and Melissa Thomas each named as a Second Team All-American.

1996:

Finished the season with a 51-11 overall record.  Finished in seventh place at the NAIA National Tournament.  Coby Cashion named First Team All-American. Terri McCormick and Melissa Thomas named Second Team All-American

1995:

Finished the season with a 32-22 overall record. Ranked seventh nationally in the final regular season NAIA Top 25 poll. Finished in tenth place at the NAIA National Tournament. DeLane Lee and Katie Mahoney were named to the All-Regional Team. Mahoney  was named Second Team All-American. Melanie Lee and Coby Cashion named All-American Scholar Athletes.

1994:

Finished the season with a 40-19-1 record.  Ranked tenth nationally in the final regular season NAIA Top 25 poll. Jennifer Hilliard, Terri Chavis, Katie Mahoney, Jennifer Tsetsilas, Becky Clark, Coby Cashion, Dana Kriner, Melanie Lee, Monica Baggett, Starla Bartlett and Delane Lee named to the NAIA All-District Team.  Cashion and Clark named Academic All-Americans. Chavis and Mahoney named Second Team All-Americans.

1993:

Finished the season with a 46-18 overall record.  Won the NAIA District 30 Championship.  Won the Tri-District Championship. Finished fifth at the NAIA National Tournament.  Tonya Smith, Charleste Vaughn, Jennifer Hilliard, Becky Clark, Michele Heim, and Terri Chavis named to the NAIA All-District 30 Team. Vaughn and Hilliard named NAIA First Team All-Americans.  Clark named NAIA Academic All-American. Head coach Mary Ann Jennings named NAIA West Regional Coach of the Year by the National Softball Coaches Association.

1992:

Finished the season with a 41-22 overall record. Ranked ninth nationally in the final NAIA regular season Top 25 poll.  Won the NAIA District 30 Championship. Tri-District Runner-up. Lesley Adkins, Ivy Dashkin, Mary Henderson, Angie Newman, Tonya Smith, Donna Summers, Charleste Vaughn, Leanne Wilson, and Angi Walker named to NAIA All-District 30 Team.  Dashkin named NAIA First Team All-American.

1991:

Mary Ann Jennings assumes full head coaching responsibilities.  Finished the season with a 39-12 overall record. Ranked eleventh nationally in the final NAIA regular season Top 25 poll. Tonya Smith, Ivy Dashkin, Donna Bragg, Charleste Vaughn, Leanne Wilson, Mary Henderson, Lesley Adkins and Angie Newman named to the NAIA All-District 30 Team. Smith named NAIA Second Team All-American.  Dashkin named NAIA Honorable Mention All-American.  Vaughn and Wilson chosen to try out for the Pan-American Team.

1990:

Mike Jacobs and Mary Ann Jennings combine to develop the first University of Mobile softball team.  Finished the season with a 38-24 overall record.  Won the NAIA District 30 Championship.  Tri-District Runner-up.  Charleste Vaughn, Tonya Smith, Ivy Dashkin, Donna Bragg, Leanne Wilson and Mary Henderson each named to the NAIA All-District 30 Team.  Vaughn named NAIA Second Team All-American.
