University of Mobile

Rodney Broughton Jr., is in his first seasons as a volunteer assistant coach for the UMobile men's basketball program. Before joining the staff, Broughton was an assistant coach for the boy's varsity team at Mary G. Montgomery High School for two years, where he also coached the freshman boys team.

He has also picked up coaching experience in AAU and by working camps at the University of Alabama and the University of South Alabama.

Broughton played basketball for two years at Bishop State CC, where he earned an associate degree in arts and science. He later graduated from South Alabama with a BS in psychology.
