BIO

Stefan King enters his second season on the University of Mobile men’s basketball coaching staff in 2020-2021.

King assisted with player development of Will Stanford being named All-SSAC Second Team in 2019-20 with 14 points per game and 6 rebounds per game.

He joined the Rams from Luverne High School in Alabama, where he served as an assistant coach for the varsity boys’ basketball team. His duties were assisting the head coach with implementing game plans in practice, participated in on-court related practice drills, and responsible for breaking down the opponent film.

During his stint at Troy University, King also served as an intern for assistant coach Mike Worley in the summer semester of 2018. In that role, he assisted with distributed team gear, filed the information in the ACS database, created a Graduate Transfer recruiting database on over ten conferences, and scouted high school players highlight films.

In his high school years, King helped win an AHSAA Class 1A State Championship in football and Runner Up in AHSAA Class 1A State Championship in basketball in his junior year. His senior year, he helped lead the varsity boys’ basketball team to the regional final and named on the All-Regional Team.

Native of Brantley, Alabama, King graduated from Troy University in 2018 with a B.S. in Sport Management and minor in business administration. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Higher Education and Leadership & Policy.
