Kyra Plotner returned to the University of Mobile in August of 2025, being named the Interim Head Coach for the Mobile Men's and Women's Golf teams. A former player and graduate assistant for the Mobile golf teams, Plotner is familiar with the program and brings experience with helping other grow and develop their game.
Prior to Position at University of Mobile
Kyra Plotner attended the University of Mobile from 2014-2018 for her undergrad while also serving as a member of the women's golf team. During her time as a player, she was named to the All-Conference and All-Freshman teams in 2014-2015 as well as being named Golfer of the Week twice during the 2017-2018 season. Following graduation, she served as a Golf Instructor for Dewsweepers Golf Academy at Bay Point Golf Club in Panama City Beach from 2018-2020. She then served as an Assistant Golf Pro at Burningtree Country Club in Decatur, Alabama from 2020-2021.
Ahead of the 2021-2022 season, Plotner returned to the University of Mobile as a graduate assistant for the men's and women's golf teams. She held that position with the Rams through the 2023-2024 season before moving on to become a Golf Instructor for Dewsweepers Downtown in Mobile, Alabama, a position which she still holds.
About Her
A native of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Plotner is a graduate of Rio Rancho High School. She attended the University of Mobile for her undergrad, earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance in Exercise Science. Plotner would also earn her Master's of Education in Higher Education, Leadership and Policy during her time as a graduate assistant with the Rams.
