University of Mobile

Shawndell Hope was named University of Mobile Sports Information/Media Relations Assistant in the Fall of 2023.

Hope started his athletics career at the University of Mobile as a game day operations student for baseball, softball, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, and soccer (2019-2021), where he was in charge of the fan experience. During that time, he also assisted as a Public Address Announcer for local high schools and colleges in Mobile, Alabama. He became the Sports Information Graduate Assistant in Athletics for the University of Mobile, where he was elevated to Creative Media (2021-2023). He directed and produced original video content such as the University of Mobile Athletics Podcast, jump-started media day for all 21 teams, helped improve the fan experience with game day operations, and now oversees and provides guidance on all separate social media pages within the athletic department.

He received his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership in 2023 and his Bachelor of Science in Communication in 2020 at the University of Mobile.

In his free time, he enjoys freelancing on the side, shooting sporting events such as the Association of Volleyball Professionals, Pro Volleyball Federation, LOVB, NBA G-League, USFL, and more. He also enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and playing drums.
