SSAC Tabs Mobile v. Blue Mountain as SSAC Volleyball Game of the Week

Saturday Conference Match Featuring Mobile and Blue Mountain Labeled as SSAC Volleyball Match of the Week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the fifth slate of 2022-23 SSAC Games of the Week, presented by Herff Jones, with Saturday's volleyball match featuring the University of Mobile and Blue Mountain College taking the title of SSAC Volleyball Game of the Week.

Saturday's meeting between the Rams and the Toppers on Oct. 8 is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. CT in Blue Mountain, Miss. and is the second and final regular season meeting between the two teams. Mobile swept Blue Mountain in three sets at home back on Sept. 10.

  • The Rams are 7-2 in SSAC play and 15-6 overall, while the Toppers are 8-1 and 20-2.
  • Mobile currently sits third in the current SSAC Volleyball standings, while Blue Mountain sits in second place, 1.5 games in front of the Rams.
  • For Mobile, the Rams are hitting .222 during the season, while averaging 2.30 service aces/s.
  • Individually for Mobile, Corrina Porch-Maxey averages 2.67 kills/s, Abby Andrews averages 2.45 kills/s and 3.1 digs/s and Tatum Beech averages 5.1 assists/s and 2.0 digs/s.
  • For Blue Mountain, Taylor Wright averages 3.56 kills/s, while attacking at a .325 clip, while Randi Crandall averages 0.85 blocks/s and Anna Lucas averages 7.83 assists/s and 2.45 digs/s.
