Rams Win Third-Straight with Road Victory Over Brewton-Parker on Thursday

Jones' Team-Leading Sixth Double-Double, Jefferson's 17 Points Helps Propel Mobile to Third-Straight Win

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - After defeating Brewton-Parker College 80-57 in Pharr Gymnasium on Monday, Feb. 7, the University of Mobile Men's Basketball team turned around and defeated the Barons of Brewton-Parker three days later on their home court in Mount Vernon, Ga. The margin of victory was smaller on Thursday night with the Rams coming out on top 66-59, but the win still counts the same as now Mobile has improved their win streak to three games and their overall record to 13-15 on the year.

In the win, freshman DaMariee Jones recorded his team-leading sixth double-double of the year. Jones finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds with five of his 11 rebounds coming from the offensive side. Jones also led Mobile in steals with three. Ezra McKenna was one basket away from joining Jones with a double-double as he finished with 11 rebounds and eight points.

Senior Gary Jefferson once again led Mobile offensively, scoring a game-high 17 points in the win, making three three-pointers. Both Joshua Williams and Logan Foutz finished with 10 points each on Thursday.

As a team, the Rams shot well again, recording a 46% shooting percentage. Mobile made 25 of 54 shots from the floor and put together a 73% free-throw mark. However, Mobile did struggle from deep, making just five of 20 three-point attempts.

Mobile will remain in Georgia throughout the weekend and battle Middle Georgia State Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. CT in Cochran, Ga. The game against the Knights of Middle Georgia is the second to last game of the regular season for the Rams.
