Women's Basketball Grabs First SSAC Win of Season on Saturday

Rams Take Down Life University in First Road Conference Game

MARIETTA, Ga. - The University of Mobile Women's Basketball team secured the first SSAC victory of the season on Saturday, Nov. 16, defeating Life University (Ga.) behind a 81-66 performance in Marietta, Ga. The win advances Mobile's overall record to 4-2, while evening the conference record to 1-1 on the year.

Feeling 22

The Rams shot well on Saturday, converting 45.3% from the field and a remarkable 89.5% from the free-throw line. Mobile also outpaced Life in fast-break points (11) and points off turnovers (13). Mobile established control early, building a double-digit lead in the second half, with the largest lead of the game being 17 points late in the fourth quarter. The Running Eagles struggled to counter, scoring only six points in the final period despite Kenya Robinson's 12-point, 11-rebound double-double performance.

Three starters for Mobile led the charge against Life, with Alanna Donaldson, Braylee McMath, and MacKenzie White all contributing 22 points each. McMath's sharpshooting from beyond the arc (4-of-10 from three) and White's dominance in the paint with a double-double (12 rebounds) were instrumental. Donaldson showcased her all-around skills with five assists to complement her scoring. No other player for Mobile scored more than six points in the win.

Non-Conference Action Ahead

Mobile is scheduled for an exhibition game for the next contest on the schedule, coming at Louisiana Lafayette on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 5:00 p.m. CT. Tuesday's game will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.

Following the exhibition game on Tuesday, the Rams will host Southern University of New Orleans (La.) on Thursday for a GCAC v. SSAC game, scheduled to tip off at 5:00 p.m. CT.
