Mobile Women’s Soccer Stays Hot with Two Road Wins

Burt nets three goals in two games as Rams extend unbeaten streak to five

THOMASVILLE, Ga. and MOUNT VERNON, Ga. — The University of Mobile women's soccer team continued its impressive run with back-to-back road victories last week, defeating Thomas University 2–1 on Thursday and shutting out Brewton-Parker 5–0 on Saturday.

Against Thomas (5-6-1, 2-2-0) on Oct. 2, sophomore forward Natalie Burt led the Rams with two goals — one in each half — both assisted by Andrei Kaithlyn Chavez. After conceding an early goal to Thomas in the fourth minute, Mobile (7-2-1, 3-0-1) settled in defensively and controlled possession for much of the match. Goalkeeper Sarah Polk made two saves, and although Thomas outshot Mobile 20-18, Mobile held firm to earn its third conference win of the season.

Two days later, the Rams (8-2-1, 4-0-1) carried that momentum into a dominant 5–0 victory at Brewton-Parker (3-7-0, 1-4-0). Mobile scored twice in the first 17 minutes and added three more after halftime. Burt again opened the scoring in the seventh minute, followed by goals from Chavez, Andi Hughes (penalty kick), Latifha Pascall, and Lucy Allen, who also recorded an assist. Polk earned her second straight win in goal, facing just two shots and stopping one. The Rams finished with 28 shots, including 12 on goal.

Up Next for the Rams

Mobile remains unbeaten in the last five matches and will look to extend the streak, facing conference rival Crusaders at William Carey on October 11th at 1:30 pm, followed by hosting the Road Runners of Dalton State on October 16th at 5:00 pm C.T.
