Men's Golf Closes Out Time at Rain Soaked Music City Collegiate

Rams take 17th place in two round tournament; show major improvement in second round

DICKSON, Tenn. - On a rain soaked Monday and Tuesday, the Rams played through two rounds of golf during the Music City Collegiate at the Greystone Golf Club. Mobile would place 17th overall with 19 total teams competing in the weather shortened tournament. Originally scheduled to be a three round tournament, the final round was called off following poor weather in the area which impacted both rounds of golf.

Tournament Results

For the Rams, they would close out their second tournament of the 2025-2026 season shooting 35 over par to find themselves in 17th place overall. In a tournament full of teams that made last year's NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, the Rams tested themselves against some of the best in what will likely have served as a positive learning experience for the squad. In round one, Aidan Farmer finished out with a solid +2 to lead his closest teammate with a five stroke advantage. The closest teammate in question was Cooper Douglass who shot a +7, while the remaining three Rams all shot +9 in the first round.

In round two, Mobile and the other teams in the field all saw major improvements as the Rams improved 21 strokes to shoot +8 in the conclusive round. Freshman Martin Chaney stormed his way through the round to an impressive 3 under par which would see him be the only Ram to shoot a round under par over the two days. Jackson Clemmons also saw improvement in his scores as a +4 in round two saw him shoot +13 overall. Thomas Cumbie would finish as Mobile's number 5 with a +14 overall weekend keeping him just one stroke behind Clemmons for a top four spot.
