Men's Golf Wins Fall Men's Skyhawk Invite

Rams claim victory in season opener with 10 stroke lead

LANETT, Ala. - The University of Mobile Men's Golf team took home a victory in their first tournament of the 2025-26 season, as they won the Fall Men's Skyhawk Invite with a 10 stroke lead over Faulkner.

Tournament Results

As a team, Mobile finished the tournament shooting 16 over par. The Rams were on fire in Saturday's round, with the team shooting 4 under par to take the lead heading into the second and final round on Sunday. Thomas Cumbie led all golfers in the first round with an impressive 4 under par performance. Jackson Clemmons and Cooper Douglass also found themselves in the top 5 after Saturday's round shooting 1 under and even respectively.

The second round saw freshman Martin Chaney move up the leaderboard for an eventual tie for 3rd place with teammate Thomas Cumbie. Chaney shot 1 over in the first round and followed it up with a 3 over in round two. Aidan Farmer also made headway on the leaderboard jumping from 15th to T-8th with a 4 over second round.

Up Next for the Rams

Men's Golf will have some time to celebrate their victory before taking on the Music City Collegiate on October 6-7th in Dickson, Tennessee.
