Mobile Falls to Loyola on Thursday; MacKenzie White Records Career Milestone

White Surpasses 1,000 Career Points in Road Loss to Loyola Wolf Pack

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Mobile Women's Basketball team suffered a tough 75-65 loss to Loyola University (La.) on Thursday evening, Feb. 13, marking the first time this season that the Rams have lost two games in a row. Additionally, the Wolf Pack jumped Mobile to second place in the current SSAC Women's Basketball standings following the victory.

Despite a strong second quarter, Mobile was unable to overcome Loyola's dominant fourth-quarter surge, dropping the Rams' overall record to 19-6 this year and 10-4 in the SSAC.

Game Summary

Mobile started slow but bounced back with a 24-point second quarter to take a narrow lead into halftime. However, Loyola responded in the second half, outscoring Mobile 42-29 over the final two quarters to secure the win and the regular season sweep over the Rams.

Alanna Donaldson led Mobile with 24 points and eight rebounds, shooting 7-of-21 from the field and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. MacKenzie White also had a notable performance, finishing with 12 points, six rebounds, and two steals while reaching a significant career milestone—surpassing 1,000 career points during her collegiate career at the University of Mobile. Meanwhile, Braylee McMath joined White with 12 points in the loss, while Miriam Oldacre tallied 11. Mobile's bench came up with just five points on Thursday.

The Wolf Pack controlled the boards with a 57-46 rebounding advantage and outscored Mobile 46-16 in the paint. As a team, the Rams shot just 28% from the field, making 21 of 74 shot attempts.

Rams, Crusaders Next

Mobile looks to upset conference rival William Carey next on the schedule, coming on Thursday evening, Feb. 20 in Hattiesburg, Miss. William Carey enters with a perfect 22-0 record on the year, having already defeated Mobile back on Nov. 23 of this season. Only two regular season games remain on the year.
