WALLACE TENNIS CENTER | MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Mobile Tennis teams faced off against local rivals Spring Hill on Tuesday afternoon with the Rams also celebrating Senior Day before the matches. Both matches were close contests with Mobile picking up 4-3 wins in both matches to end the regular season and senior day celebrations on a high note. The Rams and Badgers had faced off earlier in the season with the men's tennis team having lost that match 2-5, while the women's team earned a 6-1 win.
Men's Tennis Recap - Mobile 4, Spring Hill 3
The Rams came into the match looking to avenge their loss to the Badgers earlier in the season. Mobile would claim the doubles point with the two and three seed pairing claiming victory. In singles play, the Rams would take victories in the two and four seeds while the Badgers claimed victories in the one, three, and five seeds. With the match tied at 3-3, everything would come down to the six seed of Youssef Fazazi. In a three set thriller, Fazazi would drop set one, 6-7 with a tiebreaker loss before coming back in set two, winning 6-4 and tie it up at one set each. In the third set, Fazazi showed no signs of the pressure getting to him as he would take a commanding 6-2 victory to clinch the match victory for the Rams.

On the Women's side, Mobile would sweep Spring Hill for the doubles point. In singles play, Mobile would win at the one and six seeds to take a 3-1 lead. Spring Hill would close that gap to 3-2, but the five seed of Lais Masuda claimed victory in an exciting, back and forth, three set contest to take victory for the Rams and secure the sweep over the Badgers this season.
