MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Mobile volleyball team defended home court Friday night inside Pharr Gymnasium, earning a hard-fought 3–0 sweep over Loyola University New Orleans (25–17, 27–25, 25–23).
The Rams (10–1, 2–1 SSAC) came out strong in the opening set, hitting .414 as a team and cruising to a 25–17 win. The next two frames proved to be nail-biters, but Mobile made the most of key opportunities, edging out a 27–25 win in the second and closing the night with a 25–23 victory in the third.
Corinna Porch-Maxey led the Rams' attack with 10 kills and four blocks, while Emily Osborne and Peyton Frazer chipped in nine and eight kills, respectively. Setter Emma McPherson directed the offense with 22 assists, and libero Jaci Drinnon anchored the defense with 12 digs and four service aces. As a team, Mobile finished with a .352 hitting percentage on the night.
