Rams Fall 6-1 at No. 17 Georgia Gwinnett

Natalie Burt scores lone goal as Mobile moves to 4-2-0 on the season

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The University of Mobile Women's Soccer team fell 6-1 to No. 17 Georgia Gwinnett College on Saturday morning at the Grizzly Soccer Complex.

The Rams found themselves down 1-0 to the Grizzlies early on, but found an answer in the 5th minute, when Natalie Burt equalized with her second goal of the season to make it 1-1. Georgia Gwinnett responded with three more goals before halftime to take a 4-1 lead into the break. Momentum was against the Rams coming out of halftime as the Grizzlies added a fifth goal in the 48th minute before sealing the game in the 88th minute with their sixth goal.

Mobile recorded five shots in the contest, with three on target, while Burt was the lone goal-scorer for the Rams. Sarah Polk started the match in goal recording 2 saves before being replaced by freshman Kloe Ernst who made a single save in the second half during her first on-field minutes as a Ram.

Up Next for the Rams:

The Rams (4-2-0) will open SSAC conference play on Wednesday, September 17th at 1:00 p.m. CT against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
