MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The University of Mobile volleyball team continued its strong start to the 2025 season, earning a decisive 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-15) sweep over Brewton-Parker College on Friday afternoon. The Rams improved their season record to 8-0 behind a balanced offensive attack and sharp defensive effort.
Mobile hit .288 as a team, finishing with 33 kills on 80 attempts while limiting errors to just 10. The Rams also out-blocked the home side 5-2 and produced seven service aces.
Corrina Porch-Maxey led the Rams with 12 kills on 21 attempts, hitting .429, while Sophie Dorris added seven kills with a .333 hitting percentage and two blocks. Jenny Cope was nearly flawless with five kills on six attempts (.833) and chipped in two block assists. Emily Osborne added four kills and two blocks for the Rams.
Setter Emma McPherson guided the offense with 18 assists, two service aces, and nine digs. Libero Jaci Drinnon anchored the back row with a team-high 20 digs while also tallying four service aces.
Defensively, Mobile held Brewton-Parker to a -.067 hitting percentage, forcing 20 errors while allowing just 14 kills across three sets.
