Matthew McArthur joins head coach Daniel Whelan's coaching staff as assistant coach ahead of the 2022 season. McArthur played as a central midfielder for the Rams and was a two-time SSAC Second-Team All-Conference selection, while being selected to the SSAC All-Freshman Team in 2015.

He graduated in 2019 with a degree in Kinesiology with a Teacher Certification. Following graduation, he worked as a physical education teacher before enrolling back into full-time education at the University of Mobile. In 2022, he graduated with his Master's in Business Communication and Leadership from UM. 

McArthur currently holds a UEFA-B License Coaching qualification and a US-D License. He is continuing to complete his soccer coaching qualifications, while enrolling on his UEFA-A License and US-B License in 2023.
