MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Nicholas Holley of the University of Mobile Outdoor Track and Field program was named SSAC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday, Mar. 21. The award is based on performance for the week of March 13-19.
In Mobile's first regular season meet of the season, Nicholas Holley found success, earning a second-place finish in the men's javelin event at the South Alabama Invitational. As a team, the Rams placed third overall out of six competing teams, with the javelin event being the lone event that Holley competed in. In an outdoor field meet two weeks ago, Holley managed to qualify for the 2023 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in the javelin.

- Holley finished 2nd in the javelin throw with a mark of 52.71 meters at the South Alabama Invitational.
- He previously hit the NAIA "A" qualifying mark this season.
