Men's Golf Competes in First Team Tournament of Season

Rams Place 18th at Music City Collegiate

DICKSON, Tenn. - After the University of Mobile Men's Golf team opened the 2024-25 season at an individual tournament in mid-September, the Rams returned to the course over the weekend for the first team tournament of the year and competed at the Music City Collegiate in central Tennessee from Oct. 7-8. Out of 19 total teams competing, Mobile eventually finished 18th overall, finishing 70 strokes above par on the par 72 course.

Mobile's overall team score sat at 934 in three rounds of action, with the Rams finishing both round two and round three with a 305. Out of 104 total players in this week's tournament, Mobile's highest finisher was Connor West, who placed 74th overall with a +17. West tallied four birdies across the three rounds played, while totaling 31 pars. Cooper Douglass and Aidan Farmer followed West with a +18 each, tying for 78th place. Farmer managed a round-high four birdies in the final round to jump seven spots. Meanwhile, Douglass totaled three birdies in round three to move up 11 spots.

Louisiana Tournament Upcoming

The Rams are scheduled to return to action on Oct. 21-22, competing at the annual LaTour Intercollegiate in Matthews, La. The tournament is hosted by Nicholls State (La.) and will be held at the LaTour Golf Club on that Monday and Tuesday.
