Women's Basketball Secures Big Road Win on Tuesday

Rams Record 22-Point Win Over Dillard

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The University of Mobile Women's Basketball team claimed a dominant road victory on Tuesday, Nov. 26, defeating Dillard University (La.) 80-58 in a non-conference meeting. The win puts Mobile back in the win column and improves the overall record on the season to 6-3.

Game Summary

After a slow start that saw Dillard lead 21-14 after the first quarter, Mobile surged back, outscoring the opposition in every subsequent period. Despite trailing 36-35 at halftime, the Rams' big third quarter was particularly decisive, where Mobile tallied 25 points while holding Dillard to just 11. In the fourth, Mobile once again held Dillard to 11 points, while producing a 20-point quarter to eventually win by 22 points. In the back 20 minutes of Tuesday's game, the Rams outscored Dillard, 45-22.

Alanna Donaldson led the charge for Mobile, contributing a game-high and season-high 26 points, recording a 10-for-20 shooting line from the floor and three makes from beyond the arc. Mobile managed a stellar 69.2% shooting mark from three-point range, totaling nine threes as a unit. MacKenzie White added a double-double performance with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the win, showcasing dominance in the paint all afternoon. White finished just four assists shy of a triple-double against Dillard.

Braylee McMath chipped in 12 points for the Rams, hitting key shots to maintain momentum, while Miriam Oldarcre impressed with an additional 12 points from off the bench. As a team, Mobile demonstrated efficiency on offense, shooting 52.6% from the field and a remarkable 91.7% from the free-throw line. Defensively, the Rams forced 13 turnovers, converting those into 13 points.

For Dillard, the Bleu Devils only shot 36.5% from the field, making five threes and only seven free throws. Mobile eventually out-rebounded Dillard, 30-26.

SSAC Road Action

Mobile will take the weekend off and is scheduled to return to action on Thursday, Dec. 5 in Blue Mountain, Miss. The Rams will face SSAC foe Blue Mountain Christian next Thursday, set for 5:30 p.m. CT in northeast Mississippi.
