University of Mobile Tennis Teams Cruise Past Doane University in Tuesday Doubleheaders

Rams Roll Past Tigers of Doane at Gerald Wallace Tennis Center

GERALD WALLACE TENNIS CENTER | MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Mobile Men's and Women's Tennis teams hosted Doane University (Neb.) for non-conference doubleheaders on Tuesday, Mar. 12, with the Rams coming away with two sweeps by the end of the day. The men's team at Mobile remains unbeaten at 10-0 following Tuesday's results, while the women's team earns the third consecutive victory on the year.

On the women's side, Mobile began the day with a 6-1 victory over Doane, losing the lone match from No. 1 singles. Later that afternoon, the Rams notched a 7-0 shutout win over the Tigers to sweep the doubleheader and improve to 8-3 overall this season. Full box scores from both matches can be found below:
Mobile's men's team continued the hot start to the 2024 season, coming away with two dominating 7-0 victories over Doane. The Rams have opened the year with 10-straight wins, jumping to No. 16 in the latest NAIA Men's Tennis Top 25 Coaches' Poll that was released on Wednesday. Prior to the No. 16 ranking, Mobile was unranked and became the NAIA's biggest mover. Complete box scores from Tuesday's doubleheader are found below:
Continuing Non-Conference Play on Thursday

Both tennis teams at Mobile are set to return to play on Thursday afternoon, Mar. 14 at the Gerald Wallace Tennis Center with non-conference matches against Indiana University Southeast, weather permitting. Matches are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. CT.
