MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) announced the 2023-24 Barnes & Noble College Men's and Women's Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Teams at the close of the 2024 outdoor season, with the University of Mobile Track & Field program seeing three featured on this year's teams.
Kayley Burgess was the lone selection for the women's team at Mobile after posting a 3.87 GPA in her senior season. In addition, Burgess, a biology major from Atmore, Ala., was named to the 2023 SSAC Barnes & Noble Women's Cross Country Team earlier during the academic year.
On the men's side, Mobile saw two selected to the men's team. Jacob Harned, a junior accounting major posted a 3.70 GPA to earn a spot on this year's squad, and Henry Woodall tallied a 3.89 GPA during his sophomore season to join Harned with a scholar-athlete selection.

Noteworthy
- To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA and have competed in 50% of competitions.
- Graduate students are not eligible, and transfers must have completed one semester at the school.
