COCHRAN, Ga. - The University of Mobile Men's Soccer team made their annual conference trip to Georgia this past weekend for matches against Brewton-Parker College on Saturday, Oct. 9 in Mount Vernon, Ga. and Middle Georgia State University on Monday, Oct. 11 in Cochran, Ga. The Rams won both matches, dominating Brewton-Parker on Saturday, 7-0 and defeating Middle Georgia State on Monday, 4-1. With their two wins on the road, No. 6 Mobile extends their current winning streak to 10 matches.

On Saturday night, the Barons of Brewton-Parker hosted the top-ranked Rams and were in for a rough match as Mobile dominated from start to finish. Mobile recorded their first goal of the match in just 45 seconds, a strike by
Alejo Binaghi that was assisted by
Maxime Benoit. Just four minutes later, Mobile scored their second goal, this time by
Joshua Bynoe. Binaghi and Bynoe lead Mobile in goals scored this season. Binaghi was credited with the assist in Mobile's second goal.
Later in the 14th minute, Binaghi scored another goal to put the Rams up three in the first 15 minutes of the match. Binaghi has already been awarded the SSAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honor three times this season and made a case to earn the award for a fourth time this week. However, he placed second in the voting.
In the 20th mimute,
Jose Reis got in on the scoring action for the Rams and put Mobile up four.
Joshua Bynoe was awarded the assist on Reis' goal. Three minutes later,
Rodrigo Paredes notched a goal with Binaghi recording another assist. Binaghi finished the match with two goals scored and two assists recorded in 55 minutes of playing time. Mobile was up 5-0 in the first 23 minutes of the match.
Later in the 33rd minute,
Jose Sanabria put Mobile up 6-0 with a goal of his own.
Maxime Benoit was awarded his second assist in the match. Mobile took the match to halftime up, 6-0.
In the second half, Mobile Head Coach
Daniel Whelan emptied his bench after Mobile scored six first-half goals. A total of 23 players for Mobile touched the field in Saturday's match against the Barons.
In the 85th minute,
Lucas Ros scored Mobile's seventh and final goal and
Ronaldo Fortune was given the assist. From there, Mobile shut out the Barons of Brewton-Parker and cruised to victory. The Rams took 20 shots, half of those being on-goal, and seven going in for a score.
Despite the shutout loss, Brewton-Parker did manage to take nine shots with seven being shots-on-goal. Mobile goalkeeper
Antoine Bedos played the entire 90 minutes and recorded seven saves in the shutout win.

Following the impressive win over Brewton-Parker, Mobile returned to action just two days later against Middle Georgia State. Middle Georgia State played the Rams tougher, but Mobile managed to strike first in the 32nd minute off a free kick from
Emman Rahimi. Mobile had the lead 1-0 at halftime over the Knights.
In the second half, the Rams' offense sparked as they scored their second goal of the match just six minutes into the second half.
Alejo Binaghi was awarded a penalty kick which he capitalized on. Just 10 minutes later, it was Binaghi again to give Mobile another insurance goal and put the Rams up, 3-0.
Maxime Benoit was credited with the assist on Binaghi's fourth goal of the weekend.
In the 79th minute,
Rodrigo Paredes scored Mobile's fourth and final goal. Paredes' goal deflected off a defensive player of Middle Georgia State.
The Knights did manage to avoid a shutout and hit the scoreboard in the 82nd minute. However, Mobile's offense proved too much as time ran out on the Knights and Mobile eased to victory, 4-1. The Rams took 22 shots in Monday's win, nine being shots-on-goal. Mobile goalkeeper
Antoine Bedos again played all 90 minutes and recorded two saves in the victory.
With Mobile's two conference wins this past weekend in Georgia, the No. 6 Rams improved their overall record to 11-1-0 and remain perfect in conference play at 4-0.
Mobile will play a conference match against SSAC newcomer Talladega College in their next match on the schedule. That match will take place on Thursday, Oct. 21 in Talladega, Ala. at 4:00 p.m. CT. It will be the first meeting between the two programs for a men's soccer match.
