University of Mobile Tennis Teams Set for NAIA Nationals This Week

RAMS READY FOR FIRST-ROUND ACTION ON TUESDAY

 

MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Mobile Men's and Women's Tennis teams, led by head coach Uwe Tittl, recently wrapped up their regular seasons and earned at-large and host bids to the 2021 NAIA Tennis National Championships at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala. The men's and women's national tournaments are scheduled for May 18-22 and will consist of 24 teams in each tournament.

The UM Men's Tennis team enters the national tournament ranked no. 15 in the NAIA Men's Tennis Top 25 Coaches' poll. This is the 13th appearance in the national tournament for UM Men's Tennis as the Rams are scheduled to battle no. 22 William Woods University at 1:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday.

For UM Women's Tennis, this is the 15th appearance in the national tournament. Mobile began the year ranked in the NAIA Women's Tennis Top 25, but fell out of the poll later in the season. UM Women's Tennis enters as the no. 22 seed in the 24-team tournament and will look to upset no. 10 Cardinal Stritch University in the first round on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. CT.
