MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 14th slate of 2022-23 SSAC Games of the Week, presented by Herff Jones, and selected Thursday's conference rivalry game between the University of Mobile and William Carey University as the SSAC Men's Basketball Game of the Week. Thursday night's game between the Rams and the Crusaders is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT at H. Austill Pharr Gymnasium in Mobile, Ala.
The meeting between Mobile and William Carey on Thursday night is the first of two regular season meetings between the two rivals, with Mobile coming away victorious in four of the last five games against the Crusaders. The Rams will enter Thursday with a 9-6 overall record and 4-4 SSAC record on the 2022-23 season. Meanwhile, William Carey comes into Thursday's matchup with a 6-10 overall record and 2-6 conference record. Following the first showdown between Mobile and Willam Carey, the two teams will meet again later this season in Hattiesburg, Miss. on Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. CT.

- Thursday's matchup will be the 88th all-time meeting between the two men's basketball programs.
- For Mobile, the Rams average just under 75 points per game, while shooting 48.2% from the floor. Additionally, Mobile averages 35.3 rebounds per contest.
- Individually for Mobile, Ezra McKenna leads the Rams by averaging a double-double on the season at 15.8 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game. McKenna has earned two SSAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors this season.
- McKenna is followed by DaMariee Jones, who averages 13.8 points per game while shooting 63% from the floor overall. In addition, Jones tallies over eight rebounds per contest.
- For William Carey, Arturo Bingham averages 10.6 points per game, while shooting 46% overall, while Emile Kazeneza averages 9.9 points and 6.9 rebounds.
