MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 16th slate of 2022-23 SSAC Games of the Week, presented by Herff Jones, with the Mobile v. Loyola (La.) men's basketball game this Saturday, Jan. 28 earning the title. Saturday's game is set for 2:00 p.m. CT in New Orleans, La. and will be the second and final meeting of the regular season between the two teams.
Loyola enters Saturday ranked No. 15 in the latest NAIA Men's Basketball Top 25 Coaches' Poll and are the defending NAIA Men's Basketball National Champions. The Wolf Pack are 16-3 overall this year. Meanwhile, Mobile will enter with a 14-7 overall record, winning 10 of the last 13 games played on the schedule. The Rams and Wolf Pack met earlier in the season in Mobile, Ala, a game that saw Loyola come out victorious, 82-77.

- In the current SSAC Men's Basketball standings, Loyola leads the league at 11-1 in conference play, while Mobile sits in a tie for third place at 8-5 in SSAC action.
- For the Wolf Pack, Jalen Galloway averages 18.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, while Matthew Mondesir averages 12.7 points and 5.2 boards. As a team, Loyola is shooting 44% on the season, averaging just over 77 points per game.
- For Mobile, Ezra McKenna averages a double-double on the season with 16.8 points per contest and 10.3 rebounds per game, while DaMariee Jones averages 14.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. The Rams average over 73 points per game as a unit, shooting 48% from the floor.
- Saturday's meeting is the 61st meeting all-time between the two programs, with Mobile leading the series with a 37-23 record. More recently, Loyola has owned the series, winning five-straight against the Rams and 13 of the last 14 meetings.
