MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 13th slate of 2022-23 SSAC Games of the Week, presented by Herff Jones, with the University of Mobile Women's Basketball game versus Faulkner University on Saturday, Jan. 7 being named the SSAC Women's Basketball Game of the Week. Saturday's game is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. CT and will be played in H. Austill Pharr Gymnasium in Mobile, Ala.
Coming off the worst loss of the 2022-23 season to Stillman College on Tuesday, Jan. 3 in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Mobile will look to bounce back at home on Saturday by winning a big conference game against the Faulkner Eagles. Prior to the Rams' loss to Stillman, Mobile put together a four-game win streak, defeating two conference foes in the process. Mobile and Faulkner have split the last four meetings with each other, with Faulkner coming out victorious in the last matchup in February of 2022. Overall, Faulkner leads the all-time series over Mobile with a 13-11 record.

- Saturday's meeting between Mobile and Faulkner is the first of two regular season meetings this season.
- Faulkner is third in the current SSAC Women's Basketball standings with a 3-2 conference mark and 11-4 overall record, while Mobile is fifth in the standings sitting at 3-3 in conference play and 7-9 overall.
- For Mobile, the Rams have won four of the last five games on the schedule and are 5-1 on their home court in Pharr Gymnasium.
- On the road, Faulkner has managed a 3-2 record.
- For the Rams, Erica Jones averages 13 points and 6.8 rebounds, while Alesha Temple averages 7.9 points and 6.3 boards. As a team, Mobile averages 58.1% from the floor, shooting 38.3% through 16 games played.
- For the Eagles, Nequoia Adams averages 16.2 points, 2.9 assists and 2.2 steals, while Morgan Holland averages 14.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Holland is shooting 47% overall this year.
