MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 19th slate of 2022-23 SSAC Games of the Week on Wednesday, Feb. 15, presented by Herff Jones, with Thursday night's action featuring the University of Mobile Rams and Life University Running Eagles taking the conference's men's basketball game of the week title.
On Thursday, Feb. 16, the Rams will host Life University at 7:30 p.m. CT in Pharr Gymnasium in search of revenge over the Running Eagles. Thursday's game is the regular season finale between the two conference foes as Life took the first matchup in Marietta, Ga. earlier in the season, defeating Mobile 90-84 on Nov. 17. However, the Rams currently sit one game ahead of Life in the current SSAC Men's Basketball standings, sporting a 11-7 conference record. Overall, Mobile has managed a 17-9 overall record, while Life enters Thursday with a 17-8 overall record and 10-8 SSAC record.

- Mobile is currently third in the SSAC standings at 11-7, while the Running Eagles are tied for fifth at 10-8. Those two, Stillman, Dalton State and Blue Mountain are all battling for the 3rd-7th seeds.
- For Mobile, Ezra McKenna leads the team averaging 17.2 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per contest, while shooting 63% from the field, and DaMariee Jones averages 15.4 points per game, 7.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists through the season, while shooting 59% overall.
- For Life, Mohamed Elgohary averages 13.8 points per game, 8.6 boards and 1.5 blocks, while Joshua Ward averages 13.6 points and 3.9 assists.
- Thursday's meeting is the 15th meeting all-time between the two programs, with Life leading the series with a 9-5 overall record over Mobile.
