HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) officially announced the 2023 SSAC year-end awards for baseball on Tuesday night, May 2, with six members of the University of Mobile Baseball program being featured. Mobile saw one take home first-team all-conference nods in two different positions, while five were selected to the second-team all-conference team. Additionally, two Rams were honored with SSAC Gold Glove Awards for excelling defensively this year.
Junior Tucker Musgrove was the lone Ram to be selected to the SSAC's First-Team All-Conference Team this season, being selected as a center fielder and relief pitcher. Through 43 games played, Musgrove currently leads Mobile at the plate with a .433 batting average, while leading the Rams in hits with 68. He has added 10 doubles, a team-high five triples, and has slugged eight home runs this year, giving him 43 RBIs. Musgrove's on-base percentage sits north of .500 and he leads the team with 23 stolen bases. On the mound, Musgrove leads the Rams in earned-run-average at 2.93 (min. of 10.0 innings pitched), and has notched a team-high eight saves in 15 1/3 innings of work. In each of his first three seasons at Mobile, Musgrove has been selected to an all-conference team in the conference, making it two-straight years as a first-team selection.
On the SSAC Second-Team All-Conference Team, Mobile was heavily represented as five Rams earned second-team all-conference nods. Trevor Andrews (RF), Trevor Wells (LF), Landon Moore (2B), Jackson Breal (C), and Kyle White (SP) all were selected this season, with Wells being the only repeat on the second-team this year.

*for Trevor Andrews, his 16 home runs ties the single-season home run record at Mobile as the transfer senior looks to break the record in the upcoming SSAC Baseball Championship Tournament.
In addition to this year's all-conference selections, Trevor Andrews and Tucker Musgrove were awarded SSAC Gold Glove honors for their defensive play in the outfield this season. Andrews recorded 64 put-outs in right field this season, committing just one error and tallying nine outfield assists. Meanwhile, Musgrove committed no errors in center field during the 2023 campaign, finishing the regular season with 91 put-outs and five outfield assists. The Rams' last SSAC Gold Glove Award winner was Bailey Bannon following the 2021 season.
Finally, 15 Rams were named to the SSAC's Barnes & Noble College All-Academic Team this year for excelling in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year. Those from UM Baseball featured as all-academic student-athletes are listed below:
