THE JUNGLE | MOBILE, Ala. - It was a tough day on the field for the University of Mobile as they fell 7-0 to a dominant William Carey team in SSAC action at The Jungle. The visitors struck early, with Christina Salmon finding the back of the net just 20 seconds into the match. Mobile's defense held for most of the first half but eventually conceded again at the 37-minute mark when Rocio Fernandez doubled William Carey's lead.
After halftime, William Carey's attack intensified, scoring five more goals, including two from Zalma Torres and another from Livia Pertl. Despite the Rams' efforts, shots on goal were hard to come by, with only three attempts all game. Goalkeepers Ebba Elweroth and Sarah Polk worked hard in goal, making a combined seven saves, but it wasn't enough to slow down the Crusaders' relentless offense.
The Rams will look to bounce back and finish the season strong as they gear up for the conference tournament starting next week!
