MULTIPLEX AT CRAMTON BOWL | MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The University of Mobile Volleyball team advanced to the 2024 SSAC Volleyball Championship match following a hard-fought semifinal victory over Blue Mountain Christian University (Miss.) on Friday evening, Nov. 15, in Montgomery, Ala., securing the win with a 3-1 set scoreline (25-10, 28-26, 24-26, 25-23). The win is Mobile's 13th victory in a row, moving the overall record to an outstanding 30-4 mark.
Mobile is now set to meet rival William Carey University (Miss.) in the championship final on Saturday, Nov. 16, with first serve being scheduled for 2:00 p.m. CT at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl in downtown Montgomery. Saturday's final will be the third match of the 2024 season where Mobile has faced the Crusaders, with the Rams winning both regular season meetings.

Semifinal Highlights
Key performances against Blue Mountain came from Aspen Adams, who tallied 14 kills and contributed significantly to the defense with 15 digs. Emily Osborne led with a .500 hitting percentage, recording nine kills and five block assists, while setter Layton Adams orchestrated the offense with 30 assists and added 12 kills and 14 digs. Jaci Drinnon paced all players with a 30-dig performance in the four-set match.
After a dominant opening set, the Rams endured tight contests in the subsequent frames, including a nail-biting second-set win and a narrow fourth-set clincher to seal their place in the championship match. The victory came in front of a lively neutral-court audience, most cheering on the Rams.
