MOBILE TENNIS CENTER | MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Mobile Women's Tennis team managed to secure two victories over conference opponents at the annual SSAC Tennis Round-Up last weekend, defeating Point University (Ga.) and UT-Southern (Tenn.) in the process.
The small conference tournament began with Mobile opening the weekend on Friday, Mar. 22 with a match against Point, defeating the Skyhawks, 5-2. Lais Masuda highlighted the match for Mobile with a 6-0, 6-0 win from No. 3 singles. Meanwhile, Mobile took both doubles matches played by the score of 6-2.
The following day, the Rams wrapped up the regular season round-up at the Mobile Tennis Center with another 5-2 victory, this time over UT-Southern. Karolina Mrowiecova cruised in the top-seeded singles match with a 6-1, 6-0 win, while Sara Parpinel won 7-6 (6), 7-6 (2) from No. 4 singles. Mobile earned two 6-0 wins in doubles action to secure the important doubles point of the match.

Mobile's two wins improves the Rams' conference record in the SSAC back to .500 at 2-2, while extending the current winning streak to six matches. Mobile is 11-3 overall this season with five regular season matches to be played on the schedule.
What's Next
Weather permitting, Mobile will be back in action on Tuesday, Mar. 26 with a non-conference matchup against the University of Pikeville (Ky.) at home. Tuesday's match is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. CT at the Gerald Wallace Tennis Center.
