MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The University of Mobile Women's Tennis team competed in the final two SSAC matches of the regular season over the weekend in Montgomery, Ala., competing in the second SSAC Women's Tennis Round-Up of the year.
Mobile began action on Friday, Apr. 5 with a tough matchup against No. 4 Middle Georgia State University, eventually falling to the Knights, 6-1. The 25th-ranked Rams' lone win of Friday's match came from No. 1 singles where Karolina Mrowiecova picked up a 6-1, 1-6, 10-5 victory over Middle Georgia State's top seed of Marina Prieto.
The following day, Mobile battled Blue Mountain Christian (Miss.) and responded to the loss a day prior with a 5-2 victory over the Toppers. The Rams secured wins across the first, third, fifth and sixth flights of singles action, while earning the doubles point over the Toppers. Mrowiecova became the only Ram on the weekend to finish 2-0 in singles play.
Mobile's overall record moves to 13-5 on the season following the 1-1 weekend, while finishing the conference portion of the season with a 3-4 SSAC record.
