Cross Country Finishes Out Regular Season at Watson Collegiate Cross Country Classic

Rams place 7th and 12th in final meet before SSAC conference championship

CHOCTAW TRAILS | CLINTON, Miss. - The University of Mobile Men's and Women's Cross Country teams took on the final meet of the regular season on Friday morning. The men's team would place 7th in the meet while the women's team placed 12th.

Following a personal best performance last week at UAH, senior Joey Jones once again set a new personal record, turning in a time of 24:55.5 to shave almost 2 second off of his previous best time in the 8k. On the women's side Kaylea Holmes would lead the Rams with her time of 24:55.2 being enough to earn her 50th in the 6k. Multiple Rams on both teams would set new personal records and season bests in the meet.

Up Next for the Rams

For both the men's and women's cross country teams, they will compete in the SSAC Cross Country Conference Championship on November 7th. The men's team will be looking to defend their title as SSAC champions after having won it for the first time in program history in 2024.
