Daphne, Ala. – The University of Mobile Softball team extended the undefeated streak to five games to begin the 2025 season, sweeping United States Sports Academy (Ala.) in a pair of games on Thursday, Feb. 13 at the Daphne Sportsplex. Mobile has now managed five-straight victories over regional, non-divisional competition following Thursday's results, with the sweep over USSA coming just five days after the Rams won three games over Spring Hill College (Ala.).
Game 1: Mobile 10, USSA 3

Key contributors included newcomer Gracie Mitchell, who finished 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and a stolen base, and Miah Simmons, who drove in three runs. On the rubber, Avery Harrell earned the win to improve to 2-0 this season, pitching five solid innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out two.

In the second game of the doubleheader, Mobile struck early with a four-run first inning and held off a late rally to secure a 7-5 victory. The Rams collected eight hits, led by Lillie Lanham, who recorded both a double and a triple while driving in a run. Freshman Lucy Spisto also played a key role, scoring twice and stealing three bases.
Starting pitcher Riley Smith went the distance for Mobile, tossing her second complete game in two starts as a Ram while striking out six batters.
