Rams Place 22nd and 29th in NCAA Heavy FSU XC Invite

Mobile competes in early morning meet in Tallahassee

APALACHEE REGIONAL PARK | TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The University of Mobile men's and women's cross country teams took on the FSU XC Invite on Friday morning, placing 29th in the meet that was filled with NCAA schools. The meet was the Rams third of the 2025 season, with just three more meets remaining before the SSAC XC Championships on November 7th.

The men's team would place 22nd out of 34 teams in the 8K while the women placed 29th out of 36 teams. On the Men's side, it would be senior Joey Jones once again setting the pace for the Rams with a 26:11.9 to place 56th in the meet. Freshman runner John Vickers placed just outside of the scoring positions for Mobile with a 29:24.2 that saw him place 252nd. On the women's side, junior Claire Atkins ran a 24:41.2 to lead the Rams, while Ella Downing ran a 28:27.3 to round out the five scorers for Mobile.
