PHARR GYMNASIUM WILL HOST THE 2021 SSAC COMPETITIVE CHEER CHAMPIONSHIP
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced on Thursday, Feb. 4 that the 2021 SSAC Competitive Cheer Championship will be moved to H. Austill Pharr Gymnasium at the University of Mobile. The championship will take place Saturday, Feb. 20. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no fans will be allowed to attend the event, but fans can watch the live stream online at ssacsports.tv for $5.99.
Loyola University (La.) in New Orleans, La. was originally slated to host the event, but the Wolf Pack opted out of the remainder of the season. With other teams opting out, the championship will feature Mobile (Ala.), Point (Ga.), Warner (Fla.) and Xavier (La.).
Mobile previously hosted the event in 2018. Point and Mobile have won the last two SSAC Competitive Cheer Championships. The winner of the championship will earn an automatic bid to the 2021 NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship.

11:45 am – Warmups begin for All-Conference and All-America tryouts
12:00 pm – All-Conference tryouts
12:20 pm – All-America tryouts
12:30 pm – Awards announced
