MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Upsets ruled the day at the 2022 SSAC Men's Soccer Championship, presented by Newk's Eatery, with No. 4 seed of Life University and No. 3 seed of Mobile advancing to the conference title game.
The title game will take place Friday at 7:00 p.m. CT at Emory Folmar YMCA Soccer Complex with an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship First and Second Round on the line.

No. 4 Life def. No. 1 Dalton State 2-1
- With the game seemingly destined for overtime, Life's Manuel Carrillo scored with 1:18 left on the clock to send the Running Eagles to the final game.
- Dalton State's Leonardo Seixas started the scoring with a goal just 3:37 into the contest.
- Both teams took eight shots, with Dalton State putting four on frame and Life putting three on target.
No. 3 Mobile def. No. 2 William Carey 3-0
- Sebastian Jorgge scored twice for the Rams, including one to take the lead in the 30th minute
- The Rams out-shot the Crusaders 11-9 and held a 6-3 edge in shots on frame
- William Carey had a 12-4 edge in corner kicks, but Ty Turner delivered a three-save shutout for the Rams.
Friday's Championship Basics
- Mobile won this year's regular season meeting 3-2 in Marietta, Ga.
- The Rams out-shot Life 21-15, with a 9-8 edge in shots on frame. Luciano Diaz scored twice for Life.
- First-Teamer Lucas Ros leads the Rams with 12 goals, while Sebastian Jorgge has five goals and five assists.
- First-Team selection Bart Kooistra leads Life with nine goals and seven assists, while Danny DeLorijn has six goals and five assists.
