MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC officially announced the first slate of 2023-24 SSAC Games of the Week, presented by Herff Jones, with Saturday afternoon's volleyball match in Pharr Gymnasium earning this week's title. The Rams of Mobile are set to host Loyola University (La.) on Saturday in the first of two regular season meetings this year between the two programs.

- Both teams have just three losses on the year, with Loyola sitting at 9-3 on the season and Mobile at 7-3.
- The Rams earned the first conference win of the season on Thursday, Sept. 7, defeating rival William Carey in five sets. Loyola is scheduled to open conference action on Friday night at Stillman College.
- For the Rams, Corrina Porch-Maxey averages 3.18 kills per set and has tallied a team-high 124 kills, while Kendel Lee Frazer averages 2.5 kills/s with 98 kills. Layton Adams leads the team with 218 assists and libero Lexi Gillette leads the Rams with 148 defensive digs.
- For Loyola, Amaya Bazemore averages 2.3 kills/s and 1.3 blocks/s, while hitting .373, and Emily Sheperis averages 1.8 kills/s and 0.8 blocks/s. Simone Moreau leads with 4.5 digs/s.
- Mobile beat Loyola 3-1 in the SSAC semifinals last season and the teams split the two regular season matches, with each winning 3-0 at home.
- In the conference semifinal match, Porch-Maxey led Mobile with 14 kills, while Layton Adams had 23 assists and 12 digs. For Loyola, Sheperis had 12 kills on a .407 attack percentage and Simone Tyson had 11 kills and nine digs.
