UM SAND VOLLEYBALL COURTS | MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Mobile Beach Volleyball team opened the home portion of the 2025 schedule with a shutout victory over Huntingdon College (Ala.) on Wednesday, Feb. 26, improving to a stellar 7-0 on the season. Across all seven matches played so far this year, Mobile has managed 5-0 wins, never losing a match in any flight yet on the season.

Mobile won all but one match in 2-0 fashion on Wednesday, with the Rams' fifth-seeded pair of Jaci Drinnon and Rachel Dunaway highlighting the performance with a 21-9, 21-6 win. Emily Osborne and Emma Todd followed from the fourth seed, earning a 21-7, 21-17 victory.
In Mobile's three spot in the lineup, sophomores Emma Hampton and Gabby Sheffield collected a 22-20, 21-8 win, while Lexi Gillette and Dazsha Dean Middleton won 21-16, 21-18 from the second flight. Reigning SUN Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week Aspen Adams and Layton Adams battled in their match from the top seed, eventually earning a hard-fought 21-17, 19-21, 15-9 victory to preserve the shutout performance.
Big Weekend Ahead
The Rams return to conference play next week by hosting the SUN Conference Northwest v. South Pod Tournament on Mar. 7-8. The tournament is scheduled to be played on Gulf Shores Beach in Gulf Shores, Ala., with Mobile kicking things off with a matchup against St. Thomas (Fla.) on Friday, Mar. 7 at 11:00 a.m. CT. The Rams will also face Ave Maria (Fla.) and Florida Memorial throughout the weekend.
