Survive and Advance
In a back-and-forth contest, Mobile led by one at halftime 26-25 and used a strong fourth-quarter surge to pull away, outscoring Life 20-13 in the final period to eliminate the Running Eagles from the tournament. Mobile's six-point win came in sloppy fashion offensively, with the Rams shooting just 29% from the floor and making five of 22 three-point attempts.
Alanna Donaldson led the way for the Rams, pouring in a game-high 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting, while adding three rebounds and two assists. She was followed by Miriam Oldacre, who notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Braylee McMath contributed nine points and three steals, while Halle Verkerk provided a key spark off the bench with seven points and nine rebounds. Only five Rams managed to score in Thursday's contest.
The Rams' defense was a difference-maker, forcing 20 turnovers and grabbing 10 steals, limiting Life to just 35.2% shooting from the field. Mobile also controlled the glass, out-rebounding Life 43-40, with Oldacre's 10-rebound performance leading all players in the game. Mobile finished with 19 offensive rebounds, leading to 14 second-chance points.
