CLEVELAND, Ga. - The University of Mobile Beach Volleyball team, led by head coach Jon Campbell, opened the 2025 season with four matches across Feb. 7-8, competing at the Truett McConnell University (Ga.) Tournament in north Georgia. The Rams played two matches on each day, coming away with four victories in the process to begin the season 4-0.
Rams Break Out the Brooms
Across all four matches played, Mobile won 5-0 against opponents at the TMU Tournament, opening the year against St. Andrews University (N.C). Against the SAU Knights, Mobile lost just one set. The Rams then followed the strong win over St. Andrews with a victory over LaGrange College (Ga.), winning every set played.
The following day, Mobile took every set played against Brenau University (Ga.), while winning a battle against host-school Truett-McConnell. Three of the five matches played against the Bears went three sets, with the Rams coming out on top in every match.

Matches in Central Alabama Next
Mobile is scheduled for a pair of non-conference matches next week in Montgomery, Ala., playing East Texas Baptist University and Nicholls State (La.) on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Huntingdon College (Ala.) Tournament. Start times are listed at 10:00 a.m. CT and 12:00 p.m. CT.
