ELMWOOD, La. - The University of Mobile Beach Volleyball team claimed their first ever SUN Conference Regular Season Title on Saturday, April 5, having beat William Carey and Loyola to end conference play with a perfect 12-0 record. The Rams enjoyed a dominant regular season having gone 21-4 overall with their only losses coming against NCAA opposition.
Game 1 - Mobile 4, William Carey 1
In the match that ultimately decided the regular season title, the Rams faced off against the Crusaders in the first match of the day. Mobile would win the 1, 3, 4 and 5 seeds to take a 4-1 win over their rivals and clinch the title with their 11-0 record unable to be matched by any other teams in the conference.

Mobile came into game two not being content with just the regular season title, as they would win a hard fought battle against Loyola to maintain their undefeated record in conference play. Mobile would win in the 1, 3, and 5 seeds to take the 3-2 win over Loyola and ensure their domination of the regular season.

History Made
For the Rams, the two wins on Saturday made history as the Rams won the Sun Conference Regular Season Title for the first time in program history. The Rams also set new single season bests for both regular season and conference records having gone 21-4 overall and 12-0 in conference play. Additionally, the 5 seed pairing of Jaci Drinnon and Rachel Dunaway became the first pair in program history to go undefeated throughout the entire regular season with a record of 25-0. Drinnon and Dunaway were anchors for the Rams throughout the entire season with the pair dominating their opponents in most contests.
Up Next for the Rams
The Rams will enter into postseason play as the #1 seed in this upcoming weekend's SUN Conference Beach Volleyball Championship Tournament. Following this weekend's tournament, the Rams will compete in the AVCA Small College Beach Tournament in Gulf Shores, Alabama on April 18-19. The Rams will be looking to carry their strong regular season form into both of these tournaments as they try to add to the silverware that they take home this season.
