MOBILE, Ala. – University of Mobile softball standout Lillie Lanham was honored with the 2025 NAIA Rawlings Gold Glove Award at the position of second base, one of just nine players across the nation in the NAIA to earn the distinction this season.
Lanham was formally recognized during a special award presentation ceremony at the University of Mobile Athletics Convocation, held Tuesday evening, August 27, inside Ram Hall. In front of the entire athletic department, including staff, coaches, and fellow athletes, Lanham was presented the Gold Glove trophy by her head coach, Alison Sellers-Cook.
The award, regarded as one of the top defensive honors in college softball, highlights Lanham's exceptional performance during the 2025 season. She played and started all 53 games for the Rams, recording a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 113 putouts, 118 assists, and zero errors, while also turning eight double plays.
Lanham becomes the first player in program history to receive the Rawlings Gold Glove honor, while also becoming the first player coached by Alison Sellers-Cook to receive the award.
