SSAC Announces Mobile v. Middle Georgia State as SSAC Women's Soccer Game of the Week

Mobile Home Match Versus Middle Georgia State Tabbed as SSAC Women's Soccer Match of the Week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The SSAC announced the fifth slate of 2022-23 SSAC Games of the Week, presented by Herff Jones. Saturday afternoon's women's soccer match featuring the University of Mobile and Middle Georgia State takes the title of this week's women's soccer game of the week, and is set for 1:30 p.m. CT at the Jungle in Mobile, Ala.

With Mobile riding a five-match winning streak and Middle Georgia State receiving votes for entry in the NAIA Women's Soccer Top 25, it was an easy decision for the SSAC on what the game of the week should be. Saturday's meeting will be the first and only meeting between the Rams and the Knights during the regular season.

Mobile has nine points in conference play with a 3-0 record, sporting an 8-2-2 overall record.
Middle Georgia State has one point in conference play, with a 0-1-1 mark. The Knights have a current 3-5-2 overall record.
For the Knights, Miagh Downey and Tatjana Steinau each have eight points with three goals and two assists on the season. Courtney Link leads with 25 saves in goal.
For the Rams, Sophie Roberts leads with 28 points on 12 goals and four assists, while Raegan Latiolais has six goals and four assists for 16 points and Carolina Martins Gomes recording 18 points off six goals and six assists.
In the net for the Rams, Juliana Gomez has a pair of shutouts in goal, while ranking second in the conference in saves percentage.
